Sterilization of the Soil for a Successful Season

DID YOU KNOW THAT YOU CAN STILL STERILIZE THE SOIL IN A HIGHLY EFFICIENT MANNER WITHOUT CAUSING ANY HARM TO THE ENVIRONMENT OR EXPOSING IT TO SEDIMENT?

Striving to develop the latest and safest methods for a sustainable agriculture, Debbane Agri has established two programs to treat soil diseases and pests that combine biological products and chemical pesticides.

Fungal soil diseases (such as vascular wilt, suberization and root rot), nematodes and soil insects are among the most important pests that affect agricultural crops, especially in greenhouses. Due to the intensive and repetitive cultivation of a single crop in the same land, the intensity of these dangerous pests has increased and become widespread. Therefore, it is necessary to look after the soil as a means to protect the environment and the crop from the damage that these dangerous pests could cause.

After conducting several experiments, two integrated programs have been established:

The First Program

Consists of covering the surface of the soil after plowing for 20 days, and then adding 30 liters of Organocid to control nematodes, fungal and bacterial diseases found in the soil 5 to 10 days before planting.

Organocid also improves root absorption of the elements needed by the plant.

The Second Program

Encompasses several products to combat pests and diseases, such as Velum Prime produced by the German company Bayer, Novo Treat and Organocid produced by the Canadian company Atomes. This integrated program, which includes the latest products offered by Debbane Agri, addresses most soil problems and pests. It also provides a healthy and suitable environment for the expansion of roots, which helps increase crop productivity, and consequently the profit made by the farmer.
